Key Responsibilities:
Governance Design and Implementation: Support the design, development and delivery of risk governance models across the group to enable effective oversight of the financial crime agenda.
MI Suite Design and Development: Work closely with 1LoD and 2LoD stakeholders to define, design, and build the MI suite for managing and reporting on financial crime risk.
Data Analysis and Reporting: Interpret, work with, and present data, with a comprehensive understanding of reporting processes, systems, and MI, including data completeness, validations, and mappings.
Workshop Facilitation: Work with subject matter experts, facilitating workshops to understand and prioritise their requirements.
Project Support Activities: Provide input to progress reporting, delivery updates, workstream communications, training activities, business case creation, ‘As Is’ and ‘To Be’ analysis, document and artifact development, support, implementation coordination, and stakeholder review and sign-off activities.
Support the design and delivery of the required changes to support the future state Financial Crime governance approach ensuring alignment to the bank's risk management framework, regulatory requirements and internal policy requirements.
Support the design and implementation of an appropriate governance forum to enable detailed oversight of the Financial Crime agenda at the group level, facilitating effective decision-making and strategy formulation.
Support the design and implementation of a consistent framework, including terms of reference, agenda MI, and escalation criteria for first-line Financial Crime oversight meetings, ensuring a standardized approach across the organization.
Work collaboratively with key stakeholders to inform current state assessments and identify solutions.
Risk and Control Objective
Ensure that all activities and duties are carried out in full compliance with regulatory requirements, the Enterprise-Wide Risk Management Framework and internal Barclays Policies and Policy Standards.
Makes use of existing CRF tools when assessing risk
Previous Skills and Experience:
Financial Crime: Very competent in broad FC pillars (AML, TF, Sanctions, ABC)
Basic Data Analysis: Very competent in interpreting data related to risk governance and reporting.
MI Reporting Skills: Ability to create detailed MI reports for oversight purposes.
Governance Insight: Understanding of governance structures for financial crime oversight.
Stakeholder Engagement: Strong engagement skills with internal teams and stakeholders.
Project Support: Proficient in supporting governance and MI projects.
Communication Skills: Effective in both verbal and written communication.
Problem-Solving: Basic problem-solving skills for governance and oversight challenges, focusing on sustainable solutions.
Technical Tools Proficiency: Experienced with data analysis and reporting tools, Microsoft Office suite including PowerPoint presentations (advanced) and Excel (Intermediate – advanced).
Desirable Attributes:
Regulatory Knowledge: Familiarity with financial crime regulations and compliance requirements in the UK (must) and globally (desirable).
Industry Segment: Familiarity with one or more regulated business activities; Investment Banking and Corporate Banking.
Risk Management Awareness: Understand financial crime risks, their implications and effective risk management and mitigation strategies.
