High Risk Review Associate

 

London/Northampton/Glasgow/Liverpool (Working from home, although we ask you to be within commutable distance for when the offices reopen)

 

PAYE only

 

Contract Length: 6 months 

 

In this role you would own the provision of Client documentation and information required for high risk reviews, by proactively contacting clients and collaborating with relationship managers and operational teams regarding Know Your Client (KYC) refresh. Liaise directly with clients to complete cases end to end, obtain required KYC compliant documentation and progress the case through to risk acceptance and review completion.

You will play a critical role through the delivery of skilled technical and analytical support, enabling the business to protect its license to trade and meet regulatory policy standards.

 

What will you be doing?

  • Proactively initiate contact with high risk business clients, including Senior Management and Company Representatives. You will require communication and relationship building skills, as they will be requesting and scrutinising sensitive client information, whilst balancing the need for a positive client experience. To facilitate completion of cases, you will also need to influence and educate clients around the importance of KYC and ensure that all engagement is professional, timely and efficient.
  • Own the provision of client documentation and information required for high risk business reviews, by proactively liaising directly with clients and collaborating with Business Banking Coverage Managers and operational teams.
  • You will need to comply with the bank’s KYC requirements, identify the correct approach and strategy for individual clients, analyse information and documentation obtained directly from the client and external sources, make informed decisions around whether information and documentation is satisfactory and complete the case through to risk acceptance and attestation.
  • Identify opportunities for continuous improvement within the wider business and work with Team Leaders, Coverage team, clients and internal partners to improve processes.
  • Act as subject matter expert in KYC and promote a greater understanding of operational controls within the business teams in order to embed a risk aware culture.
  • Support the delivery of exceptional business performance across a range of operational and rigour metrics ensuring our business retains its ‘Licence to Trade’.
  • Support the Team Leader to ensure that team workflow is managed in the most effective and efficient way.
  • Manage a workflow of cases ensuring that tasks are prioritised and balanced to meet the demands of the business. Manage colleague’s workflows in times of leave and absence.


 

What we’re looking for:

  • Ability to communicate effectively with a wide variety of colleagues including senior stakeholders;
  • Ability to manage a variety of tasks and to deliver to a high standard of accuracy;
  • Strong Organisational skills; and
  • Experience of working to tight deadlines
  • Subject matter expert in Know Your Customer (KYC) domain would be an advantage
