Senior Business Planning Analyst - VP

PAYE only

Length: 6 months

Working hours: 9-6 PM

 

This role is primarily focused on Financial Planning. Support the global leadership, coordination, review and challenge of the Group High Level and Medium Term Plans, as well as Regulatory Stress Tests and ad hoc requests where applicable. Support the preparation of Group ExCo and Board planning presentations, including analysis

and interpretation of financials and messaging. Closely partner with multiple stakeholders across Finance, Risk and Business Divisions ensuring planning requirements are understood and aligned. Constructive challenge of business plans, and development of planning and performance analysis. Maintenance and continued development of the Planning and Stress Testing control environment ensuring compliance with policies, audit and regulatory requirements. Support the continued development of planning including implementation of sensitivity and scenario planning, and delivery of multiple process and control enhancements.


What will you be doing?

  • This is a high profile role within the Planning and Stress Testing FTC, supporting the Global Head of Planning.
  • The successful candidate will gain strong influence over Group wide planning and stress testing processes, with exposure to senior stakeholders across the business: - Support the preparation of Group High Level and Medium Term Plans, - Support preparation of Group Board and ExCo plan presentations, and multiple review materials, - Review and analysis of business submissions for plausibility and commercial logic, - Support planning and stress testing control environment, - Support strategic planning enhancements

 

What we’re looking for:

  • 5+ years experience in planning
  • BA degree in finance, accounting, banking, investment is preferable
  • Qualified accountant (ACA, CIMA, ACCA or equivalent)
  • Financial services background
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office including Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Knowledge of strategic planning tools and systems (e.g. Hyperion Planning)
