Overall purpose of the role
Barclays are looking to appoint a KYC Financial Crime Advisory AVP to deal with complex KYC queries and play a crucial role in working with business units and transformation teams to embed robust KYC processes, mitigating financial crime risks. The successful KYC Financial Crime Advisory AVP will have prior experiences interacting with businesses on Complex KYC cases guiding towards effective solutions.
Key Accountabilities:
Develop and implement a risk-based approach for complex transactions.
Engage with and challenge business units, guiding them towards effective KYC solutions.
Handle complex KYC queries and support thematic work.
Respond to and resolve queries received via inbox.
Analyse MI data to identify trends and inform strategic decisions
Identify, coordinate, and advise on financial crime issues through established governance structures, ensuring that controls are allocated appropriately.
Key Skills:
Understanding of KYC in Investment Banking and Corporate Banking
Proven experience in handling complex KYC cases and interacting with business units.
Hands-on experience in managing a high volume of complex transaction queries.
Previous experience in 2nd Line Advisory within Financial Crime would be ideal
Strong analytical skills and experience working with MI data.
