About Markets Post-Trade
Markets Post-Trade IT, along with Markets Pre-Trade and the Risk, Finance and Treasury function complete the Markets front-to-back stack of applications that enable the lifecycle of a trade from pricing to trade capture, through to confirmation, settlement, payments, risk, reg reporting etc.
About the Cross Functional PM/BA Team
The Cross Functional PM/BA Team sits within the Markets Post-Trade transaction cycle, known as TC11, and is responsible for delivering large scale transformation programs which have scope across all services and applications across TC11 and front to back.
Key Accountabilities
To be successful as a Project Manager you should have experience with:
Strategic Thinking and Planning: proficiency in managing project scope, planning, financial and resource management, often using methodologies like Agile, Scrum, PRINCE2, PMI.
Communication Skills: Ability to clearly convey project goals to senior leadership, updates, and technical details to stakeholders at all levels, including non-technical audiences at all levels of the organisation.
Risk Management: Ability to identify, assess, and mitigate risks to ensure project success avoiding potential pitfalls and adapting plans to minimise disruption.
Some other highly valued skills may include:
Technical Knowledge: Deep understanding of Markets IT systems, infrastructure, and software development to effectively oversee technical projects and troubleshoot issues.
Leadership: Skills in motivating and inspiring multi-disciplinary IT delivery teams, resolving conflicts, and ensuring effective collaboration.
Change Management: Experience in managing change processes within IT projects, including adapting to new technologies and shifting project requirements.
Conflict resolution in a high-pressure environment
Stakeholder Management and Leadership
The candidate will be required to manage stakeholders across pre-trade, post trade, risk & finance from a technology and ops perspective.
Further, the candidate will have to build strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels of seniority to help steer decisions.
Decision-making and Problem Solving
Given the front to back nature of the role, the candidate needs to have strong decision making & problem-solving capabilities.
Expert interpersonal and communications within the immediate team as well as skills to influence the cross-functional groups we interact with globally.
Risk and Control Objective
Ensure that all activities and duties are carried out in full compliance with regulatory requirements, Enterprise-Wide Risk Management Framework and internal Barclays Policies and Policy Standards

Desirable skills/Preferred Qualifications:
In depth Investment Banking Project Management with previous/hands on Business Analysis experience with an understanding of the front-to-back process associated with the lifecycle of a trade
Must have advanced Markets experience
Must have managed multiple complex projects simultaneously, working with different applications and teams at the same time
Cross Asset Class – Derivatives, Securities
Excellent analytical skills
Ability to communicate and negotiate at all levels.
Able to manage a program at ‘’scale’’ – several sub projects spanning varied applications and stakeholders.
