Tax Operations Analyst / FATCA CRS Analyst

Overall purpose of the role
We are currently recruiting for a Tax Operations Analyst to work in our Glasgow office to join a fast moving team to deliver regulatory objectives whilst also delivering a first class service to stakeholders and customers alike. As a specialist member of the Tax Operations FATCA & CRS team, you will be responsible for delivering FATCA & CRS regulatory monitoring services covering the Corporate Bank within the UK and Globally.
The successful Analyst will oversee controls and adhere to the appropriate regulations of the specific tax jurisdiction. You will work alongside the wider business operations and key stakeholders both in the UK and internationally to deliver on client experience and meet regulatory requirements
Key Accountabilities
Have a detailed and thorough understanding of the relevant duties the FATCA CRS team undertake in relation to tax operations
Working through inbound mail inboxes - responding in a timely manner and escalating to relevant areas where required
Use strong communication skills to interact professionally with internal stakeholders, supporting the regulators and local tax authorities in delivering an excellent standard of tax reporting.
Strong analytical ability to document key core data in report format for the regulators and highlight any concerns / issues as they become available.
Use time management effectively to deliver against tight deadlines/SLA’s
Key Skills:
Proven experience in undertaking stakeholder engagement – via verbal or written correspondence
Analytical Skills – Able to resolve issues in a timely manner and identify areas requiring escalation. Have excellent attention to detail.
Strong team ethos - able to work within a team to strive towards a common goal
Communication skills – to interact professionally with leadership, stakeholders and with colleagues via different channels (face to face, phone, email )
Proactive - Responsible for personal development, technical knowledge, skills and also your team
Client centric – Understands individual customer needs
Takes ownership – Ensures their own work is to a high standard, minimising handoffs and managing their own workflow to manage SLA. Manages own time effectively

Prior experience with using the Wealth & Corporate computer systems (such as Avaloq, FNZ One & BCBS) would also be valuable.
Previous experience in Customer Service / Administration / Back office areas would be considered
Would consider recent graduates who are looking to gain experience in Tax Operations industry
