The role is for an Operational Tax Analyst within London IB Tax Operations and the International Withholding Tax Function. The individual will form part of a dynamic team comprising of 5 people, and will focus on specialising in Tax Relief at Source (RAS)and Tax Reclaims in accordance with Double Taxation Treaties, Tax withholding queries from clients and Business, Client Asset regulatory requirements etc.
You will form a part of the team ensuring operational tax efficiency over key dates, where transactions across global markets has attracted Withholding Tax, by utilising any available tax relief, either pre or past execution as well as ensuring that FCA regulatory requirements in relation to CASS is satisfied.
What will you be doing?
- Paying and documenting International withholding tax dividends and bonds.
- Regulate cash transforming.
- Analyzing dividend events that have happened if there is reclaim available.
- Answering queries from clients and brokerage.
- Filling out applications and analyzing reclaims so they can send those to banks.
- Paperwork, analyzing data.
- Filing tax reclaims.
- Prepare and submit tax relief at source and reclaim documentation for multiple jurisdictions.
- Conduct daily regulatory processes in relation to Client Assets (CASS).
What we’re looking for:
- Advanced excel skills
- Financial services background is advantageous
- BA degree in finance, accounting, banking, investment is preferable
- Experience with International Withholding taxes, Double Taxation Treaties and Tax Relief at Source
- Advanced Excel skills
- An appreciation of time criticality and risks arising with Operational Tax processes with an ability to clearly articulate these to Management
Skills that will help you in the role:
- Financial qualifications: ACCA, ACA, AAT
- A good understanding of the financial markets (Mainly Equity and Debt securities) and how international taxes work in relation to these
