About Corporate & IB FATCA/CRS Team
This role provides the opportunity to work in partnership with other Barclays Corporate teams as well as our wider business functions (Retail Personal Clients, Investment Bank, Barclays Wealth and Retail Business Bank) both in the UK and globally.
As a specialist member of the FATCA/CRS (Foreign Account Tax Compliance Act/Common Reporting Standards) team, you will be responsible for obtaining, completing and maintaining all Regulatory FATCA/CRS documentation for all Corporate Clients in accordance with the Bank’s guidelines and in compliance with UK & global financial regulations.
Overall purpose of role
The role holder will need to review data and analyse to ensure the records are correct and in order for reporting purposes.
This will involve checking the raw client data and resolving any repairs required in order to ensure the data is completed fully.
The role holder must have attention to detail as well as analytical ability as the data captured must be accurate and concise
Key Accountabilities
Take responsibility for maintaining a high standard of accurate, up-to date client information during all stages of the process, in order to protect the Bank and our Clients from tax evasion.
Ensuring any missing information is updated accurately.
Use a high level of attention to detail to complete tasks ‘right first time, every time’, ensuring the tax operations ‘right first time’ targets are met for all tasks.
Have an understanding of the Corporate FATCA/CRS policy & requirements to collect and analyse FATCA/CRS information that has been provided by Clients or sourced from the public domain.
Use strong communication skills to interact professionally with Clients and internal stakeholders, supporting the regulators and local tax authorities in delivering excellent Client service.
Act as a principal point of contact for information about Barclays’ FATCA/CRS requirements and take responsibility for managing the Client’s involvement in all tasks carried out by the FATCA Team.
Use time management effectively to deliver against tight deadlines/SLA’s.
Stakeholder Management and Leadership
The role holder will need to be able to work alongside the wider business operations and key stakeholders (Corporate, Barclaycard, Retail Personal Clients, Investment Bank, Barclays Wealth and Retail Business Bank) both in the UK and internationally to deliver on client experience and meet regulatory requirements.
The role holder will need to liaise directly with clients (either by letter, email or via relationship points) to gather relevant tax information, whilst maintaining a professional manner and delivering excellent client service.
Decision-making and Problem Solving
Use strong problem solving and team working skills to resolve cases, including those which are complex while ensuring the Bank’s regulatory requirements are always met.
Take ownership for addressing any Client queries or concerns regarding the FATCA/CRS process. Use strong communication skills to explain the reasons for our FATCA/CRS requirements, to manage Client expectations regarding our processing times, and to always deliver an excellent Client experience.

Ensure that all activities and duties are carried out in full compliance with regulatory requirements, Enterprise Wide Risk Management Framework and internal Barclays Policies and Policy Standards.
