Location: London, Canary Wharf (3 Days Onsite)Contract: 6 Months
Overall Purpose of the RoleBarclays is seeking a highly experienced Senior Talent Acquisition Director to lead strategic recruitment transformation initiatives within a high-visibility, global function. This role will be instrumental in evaluating and enhancing identity verification and recruitment risk processes across the hiring lifecycle. You'll work in close partnership with senior leadership and global stakeholders to influence change, drive process improvements, and support the ongoing evolution of talent acquisition practices.
Key ResponsibilitiesLead the assessment and optimisation of recruitment workflows and identity verification processes
Partner with internal stakeholders, RPOs, and HR transformation teams to implement scalable and compliant solutions
Act as a subject matter expert on recruitment operations and risk mitigation within high-volume hiring environments
Use data and market intelligence to shape best-in-class hiring practices
Balance recruitment compliance and risk control with candidate experience considerations
Support global initiatives, with an initial focus on enhancing controls across key hiring markets
Engage senior leadership and vendor partners in strategic discussions and change management
Extensive experience in senior in-house talent acquisition roles, ideally within large, complex organisations
Proven track record in recruitment process transformation, from strategy and scoping through to implementation
Strong understanding of recruitment risks, including ID&V (Identity & Verification)
Comfortable working with RPOs and external vendors in a governance or partnership capacity
Experience in high-volume and/or global recruitment environments
Strong analytical mindset with the ability to leverage data and insights to size opportunities and drive change
Familiarity with existing and emerging recruitment technologies; experience with Workday is highly desirable
Ability to map and articulate candidate journeys through a customer experience lens
Confident stakeholder manager, capable of influencing and presenting to executive-level audiences
