About the role:

The role is to work as Project Manager on the Regulatory projects within the Markets Change Execution team.

 

What will you be doing?

  • Creating and managing the business case for the project, partnering with the Accountable Executive (AE) and Programme Manager (where relevant), from inception through delivery to closure, ensuring that any changes to the detailed business case (DBC) for an initiative are identified, assessed, and then approved or rejected by appropriate governance
  • Being responsible for governance and oversight – provide the framework for implementation, working with the AE and Programme Manager 
  • Determining, monitoring and managing to workforce and financial requirements, liaising with product and service delivery on resource requirements; supplier and vendor management; monitoring any supply related risks and setting up the initiative team with clear roles and responsibilities;
  • Taking responsibility for creating and managing the project plan that will ensure on-time, effective delivery of front to back (F2B) outcomes in line with the business case
  • Conducting business analysis, as required, to supplement the project delivery role and/or engaging with technical business analysts in other teams
  • Ensuring that planned outputs deliver the agreed outcomes and that the outcomes remain relevant; course correcting where required to ensure the programme delivers on its aims
  • Providing and regularly reviewing an honest, transparent assessment of the project status and RAID (risks, assumptions, issues and dependencies) of the initiative, escalating via appropriate governance; completing (and maintaining) a Change Risk Impact Assessment (CRIA) where required

 

What we’re looking for:

  • 5+ years of Project Management experience (medium to large scale initiatives) working on change management initiatives at a top tier consulting firm (e.g. E&Y, KPMG, Deloitte, PwC), investment bank, or Fortune 500 company. Hands-on experience with Markets is preferred
  • Experience of working in major European regulations (eg MiFID II, EMIR, SFTR)
  • Markets business experience, ideally with exposure to Regulatory projects, gained in a previous change, technology, business management or middle office role
  • Working knowledge of the main features of core IB products and business processes – Derivatives, Cash, Financing, Treasury, Reference Data, Middle Office, Risk, Finance, Control Solid understanding of the front to back trade lifecycle within an Investment Bank
  • Sound knowledge and understanding of financial market products, quote, order and trade life cycles
  • Knowledge of how to effectively interpret evolving business requirements, whiteboard solution architectures, project manage through the project life cycle, build requirements for implementation, and resolve issues on path back to BAU operations.
  • Understanding of the different project methodologies, i.e. Agile Project Methodology, Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
  • Business Analysis experience (cross-product) – Developing an understanding and effectively articulating business requirements
  • Ability to master and navigate new subject domains quickly
  • Strong Stakeholder Management skills

 

Skills that will help you in the role:

  • Working knowledge of MiFID regulatory implementation for pre-trade (quote) and post trade reporting (TR and PTT)
  • Technology change experience including exposure to full software development lifecycle
  • Quantifiable track record of high performance
  • Tenacious, driven, motivated and resilient
  • Positive energy and a pro-active, can-do attitude
  • Excellent written and oral communicator with the ability to present him/herself credibly across all levels of seniority
  • Strong emotional intelligence and ability to form and leverage effective relationships
