Senior Business Analyst



Location: London, Hybrid Working

Length: 6 Month Initial Contract

PAYE only 



Overall purpose of the role 


This Senior Business Analyst role will support the end to end delivery of a large Regulatory programme across the bank undergoing a Pension Reform project. This involves working with multiple stakeholders across a number of Transaction Cycles within HR, Barclays Technology, other support Functions such as Legal, Finance, Treasury and Risk and third party providers. 

The ideal Senior Business Analyst will have proven experience on large scale programmes within the banking industry, preferably in Pensions & Benefits.


Key Accountabilities: 

  • Developing target state, designing and documenting changes required to pensions operating model, including existing or new processes, systems, data and governance

  • Definition of comprehensive documentation including business requirements, process flow diagrams, colleague journeys etc. using workshops, other elicitation techniques and process review sessions

  • Developing and implementing solutions to meet business needs whilst ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements

  • Gather information, analyse options and make data-led proposals to management on a variety of topics

  • Support project manager to manage deliverables with workstream leads and business readiness activity

  • Communication / reporting to key stakeholders / groups to keep them informed of key changes and potential impact of the project outcome through published status report


Key Skills: 

  • Demonstrable Project experience, working as a Senior Business Analyst on large scale programmes within the banking industry, preferably in Pensions & Benefits

  • Proven record as a Senior Business Analyst delivering business or regulatory driven initiatives with cross functional teams, including regular exposure to working with HR, Finance, Legal and Technology teams

  • Business Analyst accreditation is advantageous

  • Proven ability to deliver to completion in a fast paced environment while driving collaborative working across teams

  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and stakeholder management skills. Able to independently work with and present to senior stakeholders

  • Ability to demonstrate team work ethic and dynamic attitude through effective interaction with all people involved in the change and project management cycle
