Programme Manager - Compliance Business Change


London (currently remote)


PAYE only


Contract Length: 6 months 


We are looking for a Programme Manager to join the Compliance Change team on a contract basis. Compliance participates in the prevention, detection and management of breaches of applicable laws, rules, regulations and procedures. In order to achieve this Compliance is focused on: delivering expert advice to protect the integrity of the financial system; challenging & collaborating with the business; and innovating our ways of working and thinking to deliver an effective risk management service to Barclays. 


The Compliance Change Project Manager, reporting into the Director – Compliance Change, will take responsibility for the delivery of critical business change projects that form part of the Compliance change portfolio.


Responsibilities:


  • Deliver change initiatives to support the Compliance function in maintaining and enchancing its risk management capabilities,
  • Support the function in meeting regulatory requirements through the delivery of business process changes.
  • Deliver functional change projects that meet mandatory or regulatory requirements,
  • Manage risks to the project outcome and maintaining the project risk log, making judgement calls against all the identified risks and the appropriate levels of mitigation required, escalating and reporting as required.
  • Manage change control for areas of own project scope and deciding on the outcome of impact assessments, recommending the appropriate way forward to key stakeholders.


Skills:


  • Strong leadership qualities and proven track record of building successful teams and providing leadership to direct reports and more widely. Sound judgement and strategic abilities.
  • Excellent interpersonal and stakeholder management skills: being able to communicate confidently and effectively with people at all levels, both verbally and in writing, and both inside and outside the organisation.
  • Experience of effective performance management of staff and team leadership. 
  • Lead on cross-functional projects towards effective and efficient Financial Crime solutions for the firm.
  • Delivery and presentation of complex business analysis and scenario modelling to high levels of quality.
