Financial Crime Project Lead

Location: London, Northampton, Glasgow, Manchester

Position Type: Contract

We are seeking a well-rounded Financial Crime Project Lead to join the team. This role is focused on providing specialist support to a key business area, driving project delivery, and ensuring robust financial crime standards.

We are looking for a dedicated lead to take ownership of a critical Screening & Governance workstream.


Key Objectives & Outputs

Lead the Workstream: Take full accountability for the screening and governance workstream, ensuring all milestones are met.

Build Governance: Develop robust governance frameworks and draft high-level, technical documentation.

Stakeholder Engagement: Act as a central point of contact, engaging effectively with 1st and 2nd Line of Defence (LOD) stakeholders across the organisation.

Process Enhancement: Deliver specialist support to enhance existing processes and strengthen the control environment.

Working Background & Experience

Financial Crime Expertise: Deep subject matter expertise in Financial Crime, specifically regarding screening, controls, and governance.

Project Leadership: Proven experience as a Project Lead with the ability to manage complex workstreams and deliverables.

Technical Proficiency: Experience creating detailed technical documentation and frameworks.

Professional Background: Ideally a Financial Crime professional or a Governance and Controls Lead.
