BarcapML Data Modelling Senior Analyst

Location: Glasgow 

Length: 6 months

PAYE ONLY

 

Overall purpose of role:
Markets Pre Trade is looking for an experienced business analyst/data modeller to be a part of the BarCapML data team. They will contribute to the activities listed above regarding new client projects and BAU type work for exsiting clients.

 

Key Accountabilities:

Delivery of the BarCapML Messaging Schemas to support all Strategic Programmes 
Own the Analysis of F2B Business Process and Data Requirements for each Strategic Programme to ascertain Strategic Data Model
Understand, influence and have significant input into the definition of F2B Strategy with Strategic Programmes and the Enterprise Architecture Department 
Identify compromises against Strategic Messaging Principles, drive out Interim Solutions to support Strategic Phasing, and track compromises through to successful resolution
Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders across all F2B Processes including the IT and Business and Functional Leads
Proactively seek out new skills including training, development and feedback
Contribute to Team working practices and documentation to ensure correct analysis, solution and change controls
Clearly articulate the strategy/vision, translate that into a holistic delivery plan and drive the execution of that plan to completion
Work with BCML Team Lead, other team members and Client Project key senior stakeholders to define the scope and approach of projects, establish governance, and resourcing and budget requirements.
Create communication materials for multiple levels of stakeholders
Actively manage day to day activities and ensure delivery accountability is in place across Client Project(s)
Status reporting, providing visibility on status against milestones, and transparency of risks and issues.
Chair/lead key project meetings, including working groups for analysis and issues identification and resolution
Conflict resolution in a high-pressure environment

Essential Skills/Basic Qualifications:
In depth Investment Banking Business Analysis experience
Working knowledge across asset classes – OTC Derivatives, Cleared Derivatives, ETD, Securities, Structured Notes, Loans
Ability to communicate and negotiate at all levels
Ability to build strong relationships with senior stakeholders
Excels at conflict management & managing delivery in a matrix reporting structure

 

Desirable skills/Preferred Qualifications:
Experience of building Data Models and XML Schemas 
Excellent analytical skills
Attention to detail
Cross border / multi geography project delivery experience
