About Group HR
The Human Resources (HR) function provides expertise and support from recruitment through to retention, and skills development through to talent management.
We collaborate with business leaders to deliver Human Resources (HR) solutions and services for business areas, functions and regions. We also lead the design and deployment of the overall HR policy and governance framework for the whole organisation.
About HR Optimisation
HR is contributing to the Barclays of the future by providing data-led insight alongside trusted HR guidance. This is supported by HR systems and processes that are intuitive, connected and consistent, and underpinned by a clear data strategy.
HR Optimisation is a key area within HR responsible for delivering a number of initiatives to enable the delivery of a simple, efficient and insightful HR.
Overall Purpose of Role
Working within HR Optimisation to support a strategic transformation project. The role holder will provide engagement advice and support. Support includes the development and delivery of required engagement activities to relevant audiences and assisting in the delivery of broader change management activity.
Key Accountabilities
Maintain project engagement plans
Participate in relevant project team meetings
Gather required content for engagement materials and ensure content is written in a clear, concise language
Ensure alignment to strategic narrative; working with communications team and other senior team members where appropriate
Produce required engagement materials, including email communications, briefing packs, articles, FAQs, etc
Manage engagement queries arising from supported projects and actioning in a timely manner
Stakeholder Management
Work closely with the relevant project manager, engagement lead and project teams to gather required content
Work with all relevant stakeholders, as required, to ensure they are kept up-to-date on engagement activities
Work with key stakeholders to ensure they have the opportunity to feed into the production of engagement materials
Risk and Control Objective
Ensure that all activities and duties are carried out in full compliance with regulatory requirements, Enterprise Wide Risk Management Framework and internal Barclays Policies and Policy Standards.
Person Specification
Essential Skills/Basic Qualifications:
Excellent verbal and written communications skills
Ability to work effectively in a project environment
Ability to work under pressure
Ability to multi-task with strong attention to detail
Ability to translate large amounts of information into clear communications
Ability to present content in a clear visual format, using Microsoft PowerPoint
Previous experience supporting engagement across large scale transformations
Good analytical skills, with experience in problem solving in a Technology and/or HR environment
Change management theory
Desirable skills/Preferred Qualifications:
Knowledge of working within HR processes and systems
Experience working in financial services
