Overall purpose of role
The BBI Markets Business Manager is a key partner to the Markets business. The business manager provides critical business support to the various senior leaders of the BBI Markets business. Additionally, as a trusted partner and representative of the Markets business, the business manager would be a critical representative and face-off to multiple infrastructure partners on multi-faceted issues.
The business manager would be required to be involved in key Markets and Distribution initiatives and aware of the constantly changing global and regional regulatory agenda. Ensuring that BBI requirements are accurately represented in multiple forums and communicating ensuing changes appropriately and effectively through the BBI organisation. In addition to providing support to the Head of Markets BBI, there is a clear focus on partnering with the
various asset class Business Managers, to ensure all regional and global initiatives are executed, and integrated smoothly within BBI.
The seat will provide operating leverage to Head of Markets BBI supporting strategic and economic decision-making and growth and future strategy of the business across relevant markets, regions and
sectors.
Key Accountabilities
- Provide operating leverage to Head of Markets BBI, Senior Sales & Trading BBI, as well as Global key UK & Global product Business Managers, supporting decision making, growth and future strategy of the businesses across relevant markets
- Work closely with the global business management teams to understand wider priorities and ensure they are reflected in the regional agenda
- Represent the businesses while liaising with other functions and clusters of the firm on BAU matters as well as strategic priorities, risk and control initiatives, remediation efforts
- Represent the Markets business and the Head of Markets BBI in Paris/Dublin as needed
Key Skills:
- Ability to multi-task and handle a fast-paced working environment
- Basic knowledge of Markets products and services
- Basic knowledge of our control environment
- Advanced Excel and PowerPoint capabilities
- Excellent communication skills
- Possess a proactive mindset that can thrive in an autonomous environment
