About eFIC Markets Execution Technology
The eFIC Markets Execution team is a globally distribution function for Capitals Markets Technology with teams located in London, New York, Prague, Pune, and Singapore, designing and delivering bespoke trading platforms across Foreign Exchange, Fixed Income, Money Markets, Structured Products and the Rates business lines. The teams contribute to enhancing our Market Leading BARX platform which is used globally by Institutional, Corporate and Private Wealth clients.
Overall purpose of role
- This role will focus on building out a greenfield RFQ platform as part of a series of ambitious strategic growth initiatives for the FX business on the BARX platform. This is part of a significant re-platforming effort to refresh current RFQ workflows with a state of the art RFQ engine and web technologies.
- The BARX Java Server Developer role plays a critical part in development of Java services within the BARX Platform and will be working with colleagues globally.
- The BARX team is responsible for developing and testing trading and analytics applications on our platform in line with business requirements from FX Trading and Sales globally.
Key Accountabilities
- Work closely with Front Office Traders to understand new Trading requirements, provide demos of ongoing deliverables for feedback during the product development lifecycle.
- Work closely with Sales and Traders to understand new Client requirements, and provide the ability to develop and deliver those solutions.
- Work closely with BAs and PMs, technical leads, QA testers and Quantitative Developers, to design, develop and deliver solutions.
- Document new requirements in JIRA and progress them as deliverables within the team.
Skills:
- Excellent Java programming skills with focus on core Java technology.
- Experience of developing low latency trading systems, with a solid understanding of concurrency and Java and system performance tuning, along with messaging, persistence and distribution.
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
- Experience of Java unit and integration testing practices, e.g. JUnit and Cucumber/Karate.
